When do you have to report changes?
Some examples of when you must report changes are:
- your rent/fee to a tenant-owner association or mortgage interest rate increases or decreases
- you have moved, entered into a cohabitee relationship or someone else has moved into/out of your home
- your occupational pension or other income changes
- you acquire assets that exceed SEK 100 000, such as in a savings account, shares or investment funds. The changes shown on the annual statement must be reported.
How to report changes – step by step
- Collect information about what has changed, such as rent notices or information about income or assets. Provide exact amounts in kronor – don’t round off.
- Log in using BankID, Freja eID+ or Foreign eID. Log in to My Pages
- If you are married/cohabitants, you both report the changes.
- Changes reported online are usually processed more quickly.
Log in as a relative and report changes
If you are a husband, wife, cohabitant or child, you can log in and report changes for a relative. This can be done if the person is clearly no longer able to manage their finances.

Why do you need to report a change of assets?
A higher income may result in a lower housing supplement. A lower income may result in a higher housing supplement.
Your assets have changed and exceed SEK 100 000
What you need
- The annual statement from your bank (available in January–February)
- All accounts, shares and funds are to be included. If you have several banks, include the annual statement from each of them.
Where do you find the information?
Log in to your internet bank and download the annual report. Check that all your accounts, shares and funds are included.
Why do you need to report a change of assets?
An increase in assets may result in a lower housing supplement. A decrease in assets may result in a higher housing supplement.
Income you do not have to report
The Swedish Pensions Agency retrieves some information automatically. You don’t have to report:
Occupational pension from certain companies
We automatically retrieve information from: AMF, Alecta, KPA Pension, Kåpan, Skandikon and SPV at the turn of the year. You will receive a new decision in early February.
Exception: Report if your pension changes during the year
Income from capital
Income from capital includes interest on savings accounts and dividends or profits from the sale of shares, funds or housing.
We automatically retrieve this information from the Swedish Tax Agency.
Exception: Report if you have requested a review and received a revised decision from the Swedish Tax Agency.
Sickness or activity compensation
Recalculation at year-end is automatically retrieved
Exception: Report changes that occur during the year
Pension from the Swedish Pensions Agency
Does not need to be reported.
What may happen if you don’t report changes
- If you receive too much money, you must repay it.
- If you don’t report increased rent or lower income, you may lose a housing supplement you are entitled to.
- Changes that are reported late may take longer to process and you may need to wait longer for decisions.
If you are married or cohabitants, you both must report changes
If you live together with your partner, you both must report changes. You can both sign using e-ID.
If one of you doesn’t have an e-ID, use a form instead.
